Mitra Capital LLC is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our small, entrepreneurial team. In this role, you will help us implement data science prototypes, data models and architectures and develop our infrastructure. A background and/or interest in data science, predictive modeling, or machine learning will be especially helpful in this position.
Mitra Capital uses a proprietary and proven framework with roots in the Central Intelligence Agency to analyze the public remarks of company management teams and take positions ahead of earnings events. In this role, you will be challenged to create innovative technology solutions at the intersection of language analysis, data-driven insights and logic-based workflow. The position’s core responsibilities will involve building tools that drive the systems underlying the firm’s research process, including advancing the firm’s text mining and machine learning platform. Example projects include writing systems and modules to access, manipulate, and produce outputs from historical databases of company results and market data, and coding and testing modules that enhance and expand the capabilities of the team’s text processing and machine learning systems.
