OpenX, a leading provider of digital and mobile advertising technology, seeks a Sr Site Reliability Engineer to join our Application Engineering team responsible for the operability and support of OpenX systems and services. OpenX serves hundreds of thousands of requests per second from thousands of servers across a worldwide datacenter footprint.
You will take a proactive approach to maintain and improve service uptime and you will scale our systems for continued rapid growth. You will take part in the design of our services and be an active participant in the software development lifecycle, partnering with software engineers and product to deliver a world-class service. Additionally, you will handle planned or unplanned maintenance events and will execute a consistent software release process.
You ideally have experience with large-scale management of thousands of physical servers. You have excellent communication skills that enable you to collaborate with varying disciplines, both technical and non-technical. You are a self-starter, able to self-manage with minimal supervision, and have demonstrated the ability to lead groups to the right decision.
Developing for and supporting our infrastructure presents many interesting technical challenges. We especially desire candidates with a passion for open-source software and an interest in the latest system architecture trends, for example: OpenStack, Docker, CoreOS, Dais, Flynn, or other container-based or PaaS solutions.
